RAD Solutions: STOCK TAKE (STAK)
Stock Take (STAK) is a Radio Inventory Bridge (RIB) module for EFACS which allows real time capture of inventory count information, as it’s counted, negating the need for re-keying and significantly reducing the administrative overhead of a stock check.
Supporting both Perpetual Inventory (PI) and Full Stock Take methodologies, a typical ERP stock take procedure would see the production of stock batches tickets to be counted, these would be completed and returned for re-keying into the business system. However, if the volume of tickets increases, so does the required time and resource necessary to complete the stock taking exercise which, by its very nature, is already prone to potential data inaccuracies.
The ability of the EFACS RIB module to capture of this information as it’s counted provides for significant, realizable benefits, extending to:
- Improved process efficiency
- The process offers significant time savings in updating the system in real time with count information.
- With quicker processing of stock take data it is possible to see and manage any variances much earlier in the process.
- Improved data accuracy
- EFACS users benefit from a reduction in input error by removing the need to re-key data
